The demand for air transport services in Europe is expected to double by 2030. Europe is therefore facing an airport and airspace capacity crunch.     Session Key Points: Development of infrastructure is a precondition for the economic growth in any country. Public–private partnerships (PPP) have become the preferred mode for the construction and operation of infrastructure projects. On June 2, 2016 Lithuanian Parliament approved the special law for Lithuanian Airport Concession. Lithuania is now preparing the project in order to run all necessary procedures with the target to reach the financial close by the end of 2018. The speakers will elaborate on a Concession as a preffered partnership model for the Lithuanian airports, experiences and results as well as PPP potential in other transport sectors.
